How much temperature stainless steel ball valves can withstand?

The Q41F stainless steel ball valve can withstand 100 to 150 degrees. The Q41H stainless steel ball valve can withstand about 500 degrees of temperature. The Q41F is a soft seal ball valve and the Q41H is a hard seal ball valve. The stainless steel ball valve can be closed tightly by only rotating 90 degrees of operation and with a very small torque. A completely equal valve body cavity provides the medium with little resistance through the flow channel. The main feature of the ball valve is its compact structure. It is easy to operate and maintain. The stainless steel ball valve can be used to control air, water, steam, a variety of corrosive media, mud, oil products, liquid metal and radioactive media and other types of fluid flow. The ball valve body can be integral. It can also be combined. This type of valve should generally be installed horizontally in the pipeline.

Classifications of the stainless steel ball valve

It can be divided into the stainless steel pneumatic ball valve, the stainless steel electric ball valve, and the stainless steel manual ball valve. The material of stainless steel ball valves is divided into SS304, SS316, and 321.

Stainless steel ball valves can be opened or blocked by rotating the spool. The switch of ball valves is light. The size is small and it can be made into ones with a large caliber, reliable sealing, simple structure, convenient maintenance, and sealing surface. And, the sphere is often closed. It is not easy to be washed away by the medium, and it has been widely used in various industries. Only its closing member is a ball, and the ball can achieve the opening and closing of a valve around the center line of the body for rotation.

Advantages of the stainless steel ball valve

1. The fluid resistance is small, and its resistance coefficient is equal to that of the pipe segment of the same length.
2. Simple structure, small volume, light weight
3. Tight and reliable. The sealing surface material of ball valves is widely used in plastic, and the sealing is good. It has also been widely used in vacuum systems.
4. It is easy to operate, open and close quickly. It is easy to remote control and it can be fully opened to fully closed as long as the rotation of 90 degrees.
5. Convenient maintenance. The structure of ball valves is simple, and the sealing ring is generally active. Disassembly and replacement are more convenient.
6. When it is fully opened or fully closed, the sealing surface of the ball and seat is isolated from the medium. When the medium passes through, it will not cause erosion of the sealing surface of the valve.
7. Wide application range.

How to use the stainless steel ball valve?

1) Before the operation, ensure that the pipeline and valve have been washed.
2) The operation of the valve is completed according to the actuator input signal size: forward rotation for 1/4 circle (900), then, the valve is off. Reverse rotation 1/4 turn (900), then, the valve opens.
3) When the direction indicating arrow of the actuator is parallel to the pipeline, the valve is open. When the indicating arrow is perpendicular to the line, the valve is closed.
Maintenance of the stainless steel ball valve
The long service life and maintenance-free period will depend on the following several factors: normal operating conditions, maintaining a harmonious temperature/pressure ratio, and reasonable corrosion data.

The notes of the stainless steel ball valve:

● When the ball valve is in the closed state, there is still pressure fluid inside the valve body.
● Release line pressure and leave the valve in an open position before service.
● Before maintenance, disconnect the power or air source.
● Before maintenance, remove the actuator from the support.

1) The stuffing should be locked again.
If there is micro-leakage in the packing culvert, it is necessary to lock the valve stem nut again. Be careful not to lock it too tightly. Usually, another 1/4 turn to 1 turn, then the leakage will stop.

2) Replace the seat and seal.

A) Disassemble
Make the valve in the half-open position, and wash and remove the possible hazardous substances inside and outside the valve body. Close ball valves, remove connecting bolts and nuts from both flanges, and then completely remove the valve from the line. Remove in sequence the driving actuator, connecting bracket, lock washer, stem nut, butterfly shrapnel, Glam, wear plate, and stem packing.

Remove the cover connecting bolt and nut, separate the cover from the valve body, and remove the cover washer. Verify that the ball is in the "off" position. This allows it to be removed from the body easily and then the seat is removed. Push stem down through valve body center hole until fully removed, then remove O-ring and stem undertaking.
Note: Use cautiously to avoid chafing the stem surface and body packing box seal.

B) Reassemble
Clean and inspect the removed parts. It is highly recommended to replace the seals such as the seat, and cover the washer with spare parts pack and assemble them in the reverse order of disassembly. Cross lock flange connection bolts with specified torques. With the specified torque, lock the valve stem nut, install the actuator, and input the corresponding signal by rotating the valve stem to drive the spool rotation, and make the valve open and closed position. If possible, perform a pressure seal test and performance test on the valve according to the relevant standards before reinstalling the pipe.
